i’m excited to announce that i’ve recently accepted an offer to head the PR + Marketing department of the soon-to-be launched Coog Radio.
Coog Radio is the long awaited, student-founded and student-run radio station for the University of Houston. the brainchild of UH students and co-founders conner clifton, markley rogers, and matt womack, the station will initially be launched online this summer. ideas in the works include playing lesser known tunes, supporting local acts, showcasing the artistic talents of UH students, and even having “professor’s picks”. Coog Radio also plans to be in attendance at Free Press Houston‘s Summerfest 2011. finally, i’m very proud to have designed and debuted our new logo today.
conner, markley and i have started conducting interviews this week with the many UH students that have applied to get involved – we’re very excited with the results thus far.
naturally, this is a non-profit organization, and we are all working hard as this project gears up for launch – current UH students, alumni, grad students, and faculty (and of course, fellow Houstonians), please support us by following our Facebook page HERE and/or following our Twitter account (@coogradio) HERE. we’d love to hear your ideas for the future and get your feedback on things we’re already doing.
