nothing to worry about, kids – we didn’t miss the rapture or anything important. i think he just let a sleeve slip through the clouds while conjuring a rainstorm. seriously, though… the recent changes in weather here in houston have created amazing cloud formations the past few days. the break in the clouds in the photo below lasted for about a minute – you can see in the distance near the bottom left of the shot where the gray strom clouds seem to come down vertically and meet the skyline – that’s rain. pretty amazing. (once again, please excuse the poor point-and-shoot quality; i was a big enough road hazard as it was, no need to whip out a DSLR at 65-70 mph…)

geena‘s back!
after a summer vacances in france, geena has returned stateside. she came down to visit me for a day and a night to play conversation catch-up and also talk and shoot [pictures of] fashion. we met up with mandy at brasil in montrose on the corner of dunlavy and westheimer for dinner. sadly, due to rain and fast-falling evening, we were unable to get any snaps today, but we’ll try again.

i’m back!
i found time between the seemingly endless chapters of my school books to celebrate my dad’s 66th birthday this past saturday. my parents and i had dinner at a chinese restaurant that specialized in shanghai dishes in houston, and it was delicious.
the next morning was a rainy one, and since we were home alone, jenga & i decided to sit in the backyard and watch the rain.
