it’s sarah burton‘s second season taking over for the late alexander mcqueen, and she’s doing very well so far.

having been at his right hand for reportedly close to 20 years, burton has proven to be the right choice as successor for the fashion house – below are some of my favorites from the spring/summer 2011 show:

personally, i feel my initial excitement was given to alexander wang‘s version… in spring 2009.

the tramp.

charlie chaplin‘s “tramp” character was revived by john galliano in his spring/summer 2010 runway show in paris. i can’t say i particularly like the looks – but the endearingly theatrical galliano always knows how to put on a show.
